A Leap Forward: Presenting Our New AutoStore System
A highlight of our investment is the installation of a state-of-the-art AutoStore system, delivered in partnership with Thistle Systems. This automated storage solution will boost our operations, letting us pick orders with greater accuracy, speed up fulfilment, and use every square metre efficiently, ensuring orders are picked accurately and ready for dispatch in the fastest time possible, allowing expansion of our industry-leading next-day delivery service. As demand grows, we’re making sure our service stays fast, flexible, and reliable.
Building for the Future: Project Progress
Alongside the AutoStore installation, we’re making major progress in each part of our facility:
- New Offices: We’ve completed the structural elements for our new office section. The design features efficient work areas, a modern canteen for our team, and dedicated offices for production, sales, accounts, and our leadership teams. These improvements are more than structural; they have been designed to improve productivity and team morale. For instance, the new office layout is expected to encourage cooperative work, leading to faster decision-making and ultimately benefiting our customers.
- Production Floor: To boost productivity, we have installed two new cargo lifts and are preparing for an internal crane. The production floor is being optimised for simplified workflows. This floor will house a range of new equipment, from injection moulding machines, automated laser machines and specialist 3D printers.
- Signage: New signage is now in production, reinforcing our brand identity throughout the site and developing a friendly environment for staff and visitors.
- Following Phase: Internal outfitting begins in February, denoting a major milestone as we create a state-of-the-art environment for our team and customers, with production machinery being installed shortly after.
